Peel-and-stick wallpaper installed from the start

This Chinook Park bathroom was a planned installation, not a rescue. The room was already under renovation, which gave clear access to the walls before the vanity and finishing fixtures went back in. Wall Style Innovations reviewed and prepared the wall; no primer was required before installing the homeowner’s botanical WallPops NuWallpaper across the room.

The wallpaper work took approximately four hours. The wallpaper is complete in the final two project photos; the bathroom renovation itself was still in progress, so those images intentionally show plumbing rough-ins and unfinished fixture areas rather than a staged finished room.

Project challenge

Peel-and-stick material does not slide on the wall like pasted wallpaper. During this installation, the material could stretch when handled, adhesion was not consistent everywhere on first contact, and the botanical repeat still had to align through corners and narrow returns.

Installed approach

The walls were reviewed and prepared before hanging, and no primer was required for this surface. Each panel was established from a controlled line, aligned without pulling the vinyl, and pressed progressively so pattern position, corners and edges could be checked before the full panel was committed.

Before and after the wallpaper installation

These are the complete project photos available from the installation. The first two show the accessible renovation-stage walls; the last two show the wallpaper installed before the vanity and final fixtures returned.

What this project shows

Peel-and-stick removes paste from the process, but not wall preparation, plumb layout, repeat matching or careful handling. For a broader explanation of when DIY is realistic and when a professional install may save a restart, read Is Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper Really Easy?
